M-195-4-J

A good friend of mine named Gary donated this Melodier M-195-4-J to our collection. Made by Magna Electronics Company, Los Angeles, California, It has 3 inputs, labeled INSTR 1, INSTR 2, and MICROPHONE. The power switch and tone control are together. Other controls are Microphone and Master Volume. Tubes are 6SJ7 sharp-cutoff pentode, 6C5 triode, 6L6GT beam power and 5Y3 Rectifier. Triad transformer #6294. A 10-inch speaker and some coool scroll work on the grill make this amp unique. The photo at the bottom shows the back of this amp, however the 5Y3 rectifier was broken during shipping.back view of M-195-4-J

For Sale Melodier M-195-4-JFor Sale Contact: Rafael Attias
Rafael sent these photos of his Melodier M-195-4-J. Rafael received this M-195-4-J from a good friend that deals with antiques, in Newport, Rhode Island, and is always finding odd vintage amps and guitars. This Melodier has different tubes. They are one 5Y3GT rectifier, two 6V6GT power tubes and one metal 6N7 pre-amp tube. They are all RCA original tubes and they still play great. The amp has the original faux tweed covering and grill cloth in front and back. The speaker looks original, dark Green with a ceramic magnet, the speaker code is printed in white on the edge of the metal, it reads 40-1275, and below that is 32861?? (some numbers are rubbed out). The transformer is a Triad, manufactured in CA, and its stamped 6294. The amp is all original except for a replacement but correct leather handle. I would sell the amp for US$495.00, if anyone is interested contact: Rafael Attias.
